A refreshing salad made with marinated sardines and served with tasty guacamole toasts. Perfect for a light and healthy meal.
- 8 sardine fillets
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- 1 pinch of chopped chili
- 1 sprig of parsley
- 100 grams of lettuce
- 1 carrot
- 4 thin slices of bread
- olive oil
- salt
- for the guacamole:
- 1 avocado
- 2 tablespoons of onion
- 1 lime (juice)
- 2 tablespoons of tomatoes
- pepper
- 2 sprigs of cilantro
- 1 teaspoon of jalapeo pepper
- salt
Clean and prepare the sardines:
Wash the lemon and lime, squeeze them and cut the zest into strips. Wash and dry the fish, then sprinkle it with the citrus juice and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with chili, a pinch of salt, the washed and chopped parsley, and the citrus zest strips. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Make the guacamole:
Chop all the guacamole ingredients except the avocado. Peel the avocado, mash the pulp and mix it with the rest of the guacamole ingredients.
Cut the lettuce and carrot:
Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Peel and cut the carrot into strips. Spread the lettuce and carrot on a serving platter.
Plate and serve:
Spread guacamole on the toasts and place the drained sardines on top. Arrange the toasts on the serving platter. Serve.
