These delicious Russian beef fillets are served on small sandwiches with caramelized onion, tomato, and lettuce. They are easy to make and perfect for a quick and tasty meal.
- 450 grams of minced beef
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 eggs
- 2 onions
- 200 grams of crushed tomatoes
- 6 lettuce leaves
- sliced bread
- flour
- salt
- pepper
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- olive oil
Cut the onion into thin slices and saut in olive oil for 10 minutes. Add half of the sugar and continue cooking for another 5 minutes. In a separate pan, fry the tomatoes in a little bit of oil with salt and the remaining sugar for about 15 minutes.
Season the minced beef with salt and pepper. Mix in the beaten eggs and chopped garlic. Take small portions of the mixture, shape them into round patties, coat them in flour, and flatten them slightly. Fry the patties in olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
Cut the bread into slightly larger circles than the patties. Wash and dry the lettuce, then chop it into pieces. Place a piece of lettuce on each bread round, followed by a beef patty. Garnish with tomato and caramelized onion.
Serve the Russian beef fillet sandwiches warm.
