Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • tablespoon sugar
  • black pepper
  • 200 milliliters tomato sauce
  • 100 milliliters vinegar
  • 50 milliliters honey
  • 250 milliliters water
  • 1 garlic clove
  • cayenne powder
  • salt
Steps

In a bowl, marinate the chicken wings with paprika, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, and lemon juice. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 12 hours.

In a saucepan, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining tomato sauce, vinegar, honey, water, minced garlic, cayenne powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook over low heat with the saucepan covered for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.

Preheat the oven to 220C. Place the marinated chicken wings on a baking rack with a tray underneath to collect the juices. Bake for about 25 minutes with the fan on.

Serve the cooked wings with the cooking juices, a sprinkle of chopped rosemary, and the BBQ sauce. This dish pairs well with vegetable chips and french fries.
