These delicious seafood baskets are made with crispy pastry shells filled with a flavorful mix of Russian salad, crab sticks, and mayonnaise. Topped with cooked mussels and shrimp, they make a perfect appetizer or light meal.
- 200 grams of puff pastry
- oil
- 300 grams of frozen russian salad
- 2 sprigs of chives
- 12 crab sticks
- 100 grams of mayonnaise
- 1 lime
- salt
- pepper
- 12 mussels
- 12 cooked and peeled shrimp
1. Shape the baskets
Separate 200g of puff pastry, form small balls, and roll them out into thin circles. Place mini flan tins upside down, grease them with oil, and line them with the pastry discs. Bake the baskets for 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 180C. Let them cool and remove from the tins.
2. Prepare the filling
Cook 300g of frozen Russian salad in a saucepan with salted water. Drain and transfer to a bowl. Add 2 washed and chopped chives, 12 crab sticks cut into pieces, 100g of mayonnaise, the juice of 1 lime, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Garnish with shrimp
Fill the baskets with this preparation, top with 12 cooked mussels and 12 peeled shrimp, and serve.
